We booked our car rental about 2 months before our trip after finding this gem on some forums. We have 2 kids (6 months and 3 year old) so the free car seats were very convenient for us. My wife really wanted an automatic because of the hilly roads in Marbella and due to the large amount of prams and suitcases we had we went for a slightly larger category of Ford focus.
We were very pleasantly suprised with a Peugeot 2008, very new model, which was huge and bigger than the car size we had booked. We were called by Jose as we were getting our bags who met us at the exit and was incredibly friendly, patient and courteous as we took about 45 mins getting all setup with the kids. The car was only 1 min walk away from the airport exit.
Unfortunately we had the nightmare scenario and had an accident with the car. Within 24 hours during peak season Mr Roberto and his team provided us with a new car but it was a manual one. I was fine with having a manual but my wife needed an automatic after I was leaving (she was staying for a few more days). Again during peak season they managed to get us a brand new automatic Peugeot 308 which was fantastic as well.
Dropoff was really easy as well.
Overall highly recommend.
P.s. Just a note the insurance is fully comprehensive but you do have to pay for any damages to the wheel which was more than fair in our case.
Everything was no trouble. Their cars are all fully insured and with a great mileage allowance. Instructions are clear on how to return the car no hassles.
The car we had was brand new.
We even asked if we could take the car over to Portugal and Roberto and the team where just fantastic. Laying out the options clearly.
I honestly have not had a better car hire experience in Europe. Give them a try you will be pleasantly surprised by their prices.
After having experienced the anarchy of the car hire companies at Malaga airport, Malagabil.dk and the local car rental company they work with in Malaga, is the best. The local company is called Cafisa rent a car, and we have used them 5 times now.
There is no hassle, no trying to sell you extras, and everything is insured and provided for, within the price. When you have troubles (one major car accident, where we were hit by a drunk russian in a Malaga tunnel, and one dead battery) they care for their customers and react swiftly and competent. After the accident we were provided with a new car, within an hour, and last week, when the battery ran flat, it was changed within 1½ hour.
All paperwork is done from home, and everything adds up upon arrival. The little extra you pay, for renting a Cafisa car, is easily earned by their full coverage, insurance and e.g. childseats, that other car rental Companys in Malaga will charge you for. Cafisa, their friendly staff, and their hassle free service, has yet another time, made the car rental part of our holiday, completely uncomplicated - and after experiencing their service yet another time - this time we had to take the time to recommend them. Ik heb vele keren een auto gehuurd bij Cafisa Carhire in Malaga. Mijn ervaringen bij dit bedrijf zijn positief. Afspraken worden nagekomen en de kwaliteit van de auto's die ze verhuren is goed. Bovendien is de huurprijs vaak scherp. Er geldt geen maximum voor te rijden kilometers.
Prima bedrijf! Auto stond netjes klaar op het vliegveld en konden deze ook weer makkelijk op vliegveld inleveren! En dit allemaal zonder eigen risico voor een prima prijs! Aanrader dus!
